News "Parks and Recreation" Star Nick Offerman to Play Chicago Theatre Nick Offerman, star of "Parks and Recreation" on NBC, will headline the Chicago Theatre Oct. 3, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The performance is a homecoming for Offerman, who is from Illinois, and is part of his "American Ham Tour."

Offerman has been seen at the theatre companies Defiant Theatre, Steppenwolf, Goodman and Wisdom Bridge.

His film credits include "November," "Cursed," "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous," "Sin City," "The Men Who Stare at Goats" and "The Kings of Summer."

Tickets go on sale July 19 and can be purchased at thechicagotheatre.com
