PASADENA, CA -- What should you do when the books won't balance, the boss is bonkers and Britain's teetering on the edge of ruin?
Shut Your Eyes and Think of England, of course, which is the title of a bizarre comedy by John Chapman and Anthony Marriott opening May 28 at the Knightsbridge Theatre.
Featured in director Roxanne Barker's cast are Eric Anderson, Claire Benedek, Anthony Duke, Stephan Early, Jean Evans, Peter Finlayson, Rachel French, Margaret McCarley, James Rice and Don Savage. The producer is Joseph P. Stachura.
The Holbrook Investment Corp. is on the ropes, threatened by a takeover bid from a rich Arab. If Holbrook doesn't play ball, the sheikh will withdraw all his money from England causing a financial collapse. To everyone's rescue comes an unlikely pair, Arthur Pullen, a bumbling CPA, and his even ditzier wife, Joyce.
