Patinkin, rarely seen on stage these days (aside from his solo concerts), will star in the drama. He will play the put-upon and tragically idealistic community leader in Ibsen's timeless attack on mob will and irresponsibility. Christopher Hampton penned the adaptation and Gerald Freedman will direct. The production's short run is Aug. 20-24. Pine played Dr. Dorn in the celebrated Meryl Streep-Kevin Kline The Seagull that Mike Nichols staged in Central Park. He has also starred on Broadway in Bus Stop at Circle in the Square and the 1985 revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, and Off-Broadway in Mizlansky/Zilinsky and The Designated Mourner.

Cunningham's many Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include Design for Living, The Eros Trilogy, Love! Valour! Compassion! and Fit to Be Tied. Maloney has played supporting roles in Six Degrees of Separation, Dinner at Eight, Our Town and Arcadia.

Jefferies acted at Hartford in the recent production of The Night of the Iguana. On Broadway she appeared in The Wake of Jamie Foster.
