News   Patti LuPone and Marilyn Horne Conversation Livestreamed Tonight The Los Angeles Opera hosts a conversation between Broadway legend Patti LuPone and operatic mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. The dialogue, which is an exclusive L.A. Opera patron event and not open to the general public, will be streamed live via the company's website Feb. 27 at 5:30 PM PT.

The conversation, hosted by conductor James J. Conlon, who has worked extensively with both performers, will be available online at laopera.org.

Two-time Tony Award winner LuPone is currently playing the role of Samira, a 10-minute comic cameo in John Corigliano's The Ghosts of Versailles, now running at the L.A. Opera through March 1 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Horne also played the role of Samira at the world-premiere production in 1991 at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

The Ghosts of Versailles kicks off the LA Opera's 2015 Figaro Trilogy, to be followed by The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. For more information, visit laopera.org.
