Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone offers a concert evening entitled Don’t Monkey with Broadway April 19 at Symphony Space in Manhattan.

The acclaimed singing actress, according to press notes, will explore “through indelible interpretations of classic Broadway show tunes by the likes of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin, how her life-long love affair with Broadway began, and her concern for what the Great White Way is becoming today.”

The 8 PM performance is part of the famed venue's two-week celebration of Broadway, titled Project B-Way/95, which continues through April 20.

LuPone won her Tony Awards for her performances in Evita and Gypsy.
