Tony Award winner LuPone's additional dates (following her well-reviewed two-week gig there, June 5-16) are June 19-23. There will be a special late-night performance on Thursday, June 21 at 11 PM. LuPone is backed by a five-piece band.
The owners of 54 Below announced on June 17, "Andrea Martin has had to postpone her appearance at 54 Below because she is ill with a stubborn bronchial infection. We look forward to rescheduling her performance at the earliest possible opportunity. Patti LuPone has graciously agreed to change her schedule so as to continue her engagement at 54 Below for another week…"
LuPone's 54 Below engagement is conceived and directed by the venue's Tony Award-winning creative consultant, Scott Wittman, with arrangements by Joseph Thalken. LuPone is the Tony-winning actress known for creating Eva Peron in the original Broadway production of Evita, and for her work in the recent revivals of Sweeney Todd and Gypsy, among many other stage and screen roles.
