News Paul Costel Is Actors Theatre of Louisville's New President Actors Theatre of Louisville announced the election of Paul T. Costel, Louisville Market Manager of Commercial Banking at Chase, as president of its board of directors.

Elected at the theatre's annual meeting, Costel assumes his position for the theatre's 44th season.

ATL is the Tony Award-honored resident theatre internationally known for its Humana Festival of New American Plays.

Officers for 2007-08 are Carolle Jones Clay and Jennifer L. Blum (vice president), Theodore S. Rosky (treasurer) and Stewart Lussky (secretary). Members of the executive committee include John Gill Holland, Jr. and Bruce C. Merrick.

Immediate past president is Philip C. Eschels.

New directors for the 2007-08 season are Patricia W. Ballard, Turney P. Berry, Sarah D. Fuller, Kevin Grangier, Paul A. Klein, Bruce C. Merrick, Thomas W. Mueller and Olu A. Stevens. Actors Theatre, a non-profit organization, presents over 500 performances annually to over 190,000 patrons and offers an array of community outreach programs, including ticket subsidy for deserving students, daytime student matinees and artists residencies in the schools.

Two musicals are set to launch Actors Theatre's upcoming 2007-08 season. The Brown-Forman Mainstage Series will open with the bluegrass musical Fire on the Mountain, by Randal Myler and Dan Wheetman, Aug. 28-Sept. 22 in the 637-seat Pamela Brown Auditorium. The Discover Series will kick off with the cult rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, Sept. 11-30 in the 159-seat Victor Jory Theatre.
