Kathy Gail MacGowan, who staged the FringeNYC production, returns to direct the Off-Broadway engagement of the erotically charged play that will officially open Oct. 18 for a run through Nov. 3. It is produced by Go In Her Room Productions, in association with the WorkShop Theater Company.
The cast features Ryan Barry, Meena Dimian and Rachel Mewbron.
Here's how the play is billed: "What if there were multiple futures and you could see them all at once? At a Maine summerhouse, three recent Princeton grads are repeatedly hurtled forward in time to see multiple selves and futures. The hedonism and fluid sexuality of their idealistic youth twist in this mind-bending love triangle."
The In the Summer Pavilion design team includes Kia Rogers (lighting design) and Julian Evans (sound design).
Young has directed and wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of In the Summer Pavilion, to be released in 2013. Tickets are available by phoning (212) 279-4200 or online at www.59e59.org.
