Paul Sorvino, a veteran of stage (That Championship Season) and film ("Goodfellas") will headline in Abby's Song, a new holiday musical set to begin previews Nov. 14 at City Center in Manhattan. The Mary Pat Kelly-Elliot Willensky show will run through Nov. 28.

Sorvino is best known in the theatre for his Tony-nominated performance in Jason Miller's That Championship Season. His other stage credits include Broadway's An American Millionaire, and Off-Broadway's Marlon Brando Sat Right Here and The Baker's Wife. On television, he was one of the early regulars on the long-running drama series, "Law & Order." His films include "Romeo and Juliet," "The Firm," "Dick Tracy," "That Championship Season" and "Oh, God."

Sorvino will play the role of "The Mentor," in the Montana-set story, in which Abby, a shepherd girl, tries to break the chains of her small town and achieve her dreams. Jackie Angelesco will play Abby. Angelesco has appeared on Broadway in State Fair and The Rose Tattoo and Off-Broadway in Annie Warbucks.

Randy Skinner will direct. Spirit Lake Productions presents the musical.
