When Vogue truly was, Vreeland ruled as undoubted queen, and Full Gallop brings us to a temporary low point in her fabulous, epic career. Vreeland presided over the fashion world as editor of Harpers Bazaar and Vogue from the 1940's to the 1960's, before being abruptly fired from her job as editor in chief from Vogue in 1971, where the story begins. She was a major force in determining styles and trends including the 60's "youthquake" and introducing such top models as Twiggy.
Ms. Wilson received an Obie and Drama Desk Award for her performance in Full Gallop last year at Manhattan Theatre Club.
