News PBS Concert Series Kicks Off Today with Stephen Schwartz and Friends Ted Chapin hosts the series, which also features Jessie Mueller and Christine Ebersole.

WNET and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Emmy-nominated American Songbook at NJPAC series kicks off April 17 at 1 PM ET with Stephen Schwartz and Friends.

The six-part series, taped before a live audience at NJPAC's 500-seat Victoria Theater, is hosted by Ted Chapin. The lineup includes cabaret great Marilyn Maye, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz, Beautiful Tony winner Jessie Mueller and Tony nominee Jarrod Spector, jazz singer Catherine Russell, cabaret veterans KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar, and Disaster!'s Seth Rudetsky and two-time Tony winner Christine Ebersole.

Performances are coupled with Q&A sessions conducted by Chapin, president and executive director of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagen Company.
