News PBS' "In The Life" Features Def's Chin, Hairspray's Fierstein and More in February Def Poetry Jam's Staceyann Chin will host the February episode of "In The Life," Thirteen/WNET's national television newsmagazine about gay and lesbian issues and culture.

The one-hour episode titled "Out Front " will air on the PBS flagship WNET Feb. 24, 10 PM (ET). Check your local listings. ITL's "Out Front " will explore various topics including the 35th anniversary of The Advocate magazine, civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, "NYPD Blue" actor Bill Brochtrup, a Native American artist, the post-riot-grrrl music scene and the first HIV-positive Muppet on South Africa’s "Takalani Sesame."

Hairspray's Harvey Fierstein, an ITL regular, finishes his inside story of why Homer Simpson can’t sleep over at his house. Nathan Lane (The Producers), Patricia Clarkson (Eastern Standard) and Terrence McNally (Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune) will also make appearances on the program.
