Classic Arts News PBS's Great Performances Presents Documentary on Beverly Sills on Thanksgiving Day PBS's Great Performances will present a documentary about the American soprano Beverly Sills on Thanksgiving Day, November 23.
Beverly Sills: Made in the USA, a retrospective of the life and career of the world-renowned coloratura, combines archival footage of her performances in Manon, La traviata, The Barber of Seville, Roberto Devereux and other productions with excerpts from talk-show interviews.

The program also traces her career following her retirement from the stage in 1980, including her stints as general director of the New York City Opera and as chairwoman of Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Opera.
