News Pearl to Produce Bald Soprano, Richard II and Moon for the Misbegotten; Acting Company Announced The Eugène Ionesco absurd classic The Bald Soprano and Eugene O'Neill's haunting drama A Moon for the Misbegotten will be staged Off-Broadway by the Pearl Theatre Company during the 2011-2012 season.

Now in residence at New York City Center for its third season, the Pearl and its resident acting company dedicates its programming to classic works.

The Bald Soprano, one of the first major works of the Theatre of the Absurd, will launch the season Sept. 13-Oct. 23. It will officially open Sept. 25.

Shakespeare's Richard II will follow Nov. 8-Dec. 24, officially opening Nov. 20. Bernard Shaw's The Philanderer will launch the New Year Jan. 10-Feb. 19, 2012. An official opening has been set for Jan. 22, 2012.

The final offering with be O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten, which will run March 6-April 15, 2012. Opening night is scheduled for March 18, 2012.

The 2011-2012 Resident Company of actors comprises Jolly Abraham, Rachel Botchan, Robin Leslie Brown, Bradford Cover, Dominic Cuskern, Dan Daily, Robert Hock, Sean McNall, Carol Schultz, Edward Seamon and Lee Stark.
