Vieux Carré, which began performances May 12 and runs through June 14, will mark the final production at the Pearl's current East Village home. The company recently announced a move uptown to New York City Center Stage II for the 2009-2010 season. Tony nominee Pendleton directs a cast that includes Rachel Botchan as Jane, Sean McNall as The Writer, Carol Schultz as Mrs. Wire, Beth Dixon as Mary, Joseph Collins as Tye, George Morfogen as Nightingale, Pamela Payton-Wright as Carrie, Christian Pedersen as Sky and Claudia Robinson as Nursie.

Vieux Carré, according to the Pearl, "thrusts the audience into the deep shadows of a dilapidated New Orleans boarding house. The play is a raw and vulnerable look into a world of outcasts and their mechanisms for survival."

The Pearl production has scenic design by Harry Feiner, costume design by Barbara A. Bell, lighting design by Stephen Petrilli and sound design by Jane Shaw.

For tickets phone (212) 598-9802. The Pearl Theatre Company is located at 80 St. Marks Place (at First Avenue) in the East Village.
