News Penny Fuller Will Join Kathleen Chalfant, John Glover and More in McCarter's A Delicate Balance Two-time Tony nominee Penny Fuller has joined the cast of the McCarter Theatre Center's upcoming production of Edward Albee’s A Delicate Balance, which will begin performances at the New Jersey venue Jan. 18.

The Broadway veteran, who will play the role of Claire, replaces the previously announced Mary Beth Hurt.

Directed by Emily Mann, the production will officially open Jan. 25 for a limited engagement through Feb. 17.

The cast will also feature two-time Obie Award winner and Tony nominee Kathleen Chalfant (Agnes), Tony Award winner John Glover (Tobias), Roberta Maxwell (Edna), James A. Stephens (Harry) and Francesca Faridany (Julia).

"Agnes and Tobias’ precarious suburban lives are shaken when they find themselves facing unexpected houseguests—who plan to stay indefinitely," according to the McCarter.

The production will also have set design by Daniel Ostling, costume design by Jennifer von Mayrhauser, lighting by Lap Chi Chu and stage management by Alison Cote. Tickets range from $20-$65, and are available online at www.mccarter.org, by phone at (609) 258-2787, and in person at the McCarter Theatre ticket office (91 University Place, Princeton).
