News Performance of Wilson's Street Theater, About Stonewall, to Benefit LGBT Community Center A one-night-only performance of Doric Wilson's Street Theater, the award-winning satire about Stonewall, will be presented June 18 at the LGBT Community Center.

Directed by Mark Finley, the cast will comprise Chris Andersson, Patrick Askin, Eilis Mary Cahill, Jonathan Cedano, Joe DeFeo, Desmond Dutcher, Oliver Houser, Michael Lynch, Nick Mathews, James Nugent, Rebecca Nyahay, Carlos Ponton, Ben Strothmann and Bradley Wells. Show time is 7 PM. A participant in the Stonewall Uprising, Doric Wilson, press notes state, wrote Street Theater "not so much as a history of the event, but as a record of the people he knew and the incidents he was involved in on Christopher Street in the months, days and hours leading up to the night gays fought back. The play focuses on a panorama of drags, dykes, leathermen, flower children, vice cops and cruisers—the innocent and not-so­-innocent bystanders who would turn the 28th of June, 1969 in­to Stonewall—the D-day of gay history."

The upcoming event will feature graphic design by Howard Cruse.
