A new Canadian and international touring company of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera begins a world wide tour with it's premiere engagement at the Ford Centre for the Performing Arts in Vancouver. Previews begin April 24, with the opening on April 30.
Peter Karrie, who played the Phantom in the Toronto production for two years will head the cast. He also played the Phantom in Livent's tour to Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as for 18 months in the show in the West End of London.
