News Phantom Ballerinas Calendar Now Available from BC/EFA "The Adventures of the Phantom Ballerinas" — a new 2008 wall calendar to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS — is now available by visiting the BC/EFA website.

Described as "an alternately beautiful and wryly funny photo essay featuring the Broadway company's current corps de ballet," the 12-month calendar features the ballerinas at various New York locales, including the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Shea Stadium, Lincoln Center, the Empire State Building and Central Park. The dancers are also featured in their Tony-winning costumes, which were designed by the late Maria Björnson.

The calendar, based on an idea by Phantom dance captain Harriet Clark, features photography by Andrew Nelson. Cast members Harriet Clark, Kara Klein, Gianna Loungway, Mabel Modrono, Carly Blake Sebouhian, Jessica Radetsky and Dianna Warren — who also appear in the photos — produced the calendar. Also featured in the new fundraising item are Phantom principals Heather McFadden (as ballerina Meg Giry) and Marilyn Caskey (as Madame Giry).

"The Adventures of the Phantom Ballerinas" has a list price of $20. All proceeds benefit BC/EFA; visit www.broadwaycares.org for more information.
