News Phantom's Christine Tapped to Play Cosette in Texas Production of Les Miz Having finished up playing Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway last season, Mary Michael Patterson will take on the role of Cosette in Casa Mañana's upcoming production of Les Misérables.

The show will open the 2015-16 season, with performances slated for June 19-28.

Winner of eight Tony Awards, Les Miz tells the epic tale of broken dreams, passion and redemption, set against the backdrop of revolutionary France, based on Victor Hugo's novel of the same name.

Directed and choreographed by Tim Bennett, Casa Mañana's Les Misérables will feature a cast of Broadway veterans, including Michael Hunsaker, David McDonald, Stephanie Umoh, Kirstin Tucker, Ian Patrick Gibb, Cheryl Allison and James Zannelli.

Other cast members include: Daniel Rowan, Stephen Newton, Madeline Yarbrough, Madilyn Perry, Zak Reynolds, Charlie H. Ray, Noah Putterman, Seth Womack, Major Attaway, Matt Beutner, Martin Antonio Guerra, Christopher J. Deaton, Will Huse, Dennis Wees, Hayden Hart, Cara Statham Serber, Mary Gilbreath Grim, Molly Franco, Jenny Tucker, Daron Cockerell, Brigitte Goldman, Alixe Ward, Amara Haaksman, Ellie Hertel, Sophia Kaiafas and Avery Perkins.

The creative team include Ben Gunderson as associate director and choreographer, Samuel Rushen as production designer, Adam Koch as scenic designer, Matt Kraus as sound designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as wig, hair and makeup designer.
