Classic Arts News Philadelphia Orchestra to Conduct Live Music Workshop Today With New World Symphony The Philadelphia Orchestra will conduct a live workshop today from a studio at the University of Pennsylvania with New World Symphony musicians in Miami.
Philadelphia Orchestra music animateur Thomas Cabaniss and two PO musicians will lead a seminar for four NWS bass players focusing on audience engagement and performance techniques.

The event will be conducted using LifeSize high definition video. PO president and CEO James Undercofler commented, "This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for members of the Philadelphia Orchestra to share their talent and artistry with other musicians around the world, using state-of-the-art technology. "We... hope this will be the first of many similar ventures as we seek to extend the reach of this great orchestra beyond the Philadelphia region."

The workshop will take place at 12:45 EST.
