Tony winners Philip Bosco and Blythe Danner have joined the all-star cast of Carousel, which will be presented in concert at Carnegie Hall on June 6.

Bosco, who starred in the City Center Encores! production of Bloomer Girl this past March, will play the Starkeeper in the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, and Blythe Danner, who was on Broadway last season in Follies, has been cast as Mrs. Mullin.

Also starring in the one-night only event are the previously announced Hugh Jackman (Billy Bigelow), Audra McDonald (Julie Jordan), Jason Danieley (Enoch Snow), Judy Kaye (Nettie Fowler), Lauren Ward (Carrie Pipperidge) and Norbert Leo Butz (Jigger Craigin). Walter Bobbie will direct the evening, Leonard Slatkin will conduct the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Ben Whiteley is the musical director and choral director, and the Concert Chorale of New York will also lend their voices to the concert presentation of the classic musical. The musical has been adapted for this concert by John Weidman and Bobbie.

A Broadway veteran, Philip Bosco received Tony nominations for his roles in The Rape of the Belt, Heartbreak House, You Never Can Tell, Moon Over Buffalo and Lend Me a Tenor, nabbing his Tony for his work in the latter. Danner, who also spends much time on screen, received her Tony Award for her performance in Butterflies Are Free, and she received nominations for her roles in Betrayal, A Streetcar Named Desire and last season's revival of Follies.

Carousel bowed on Broadway in April 1945 at the Majestic Theatre, where it played 890 performances. The celebrated score includes such tunes as "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," "Mister Snow," "Soliloquy," "What's the Use of Wond'rin'?" and "You'll Never Walk Alone." An all-star concert of Carousel is also scheduled for London's Royal Festival Hall on June 15 and 16 starring Emily Loesser. Tickets for the Carnegie concert range from $34 to $142 and are available at the hall's box office or through CarnegieCharge at (212) 247-7800. Carnegie Hall is located in New York City at 154 W. 57th Street.
