Presented by Manhattan Concert Productions, which staged a starry concert production of Ragtime at Avery Fisher Hall last winter, the 8 PM evening promises performances by Jackson (The Performers, Finian's Rainbow, Xanadu), Boykin (Porgy and Bess, Show Boat), Carmello (Scandalous, Parade) and soprano Bullock.
The New York City Chamber Orchestra will offer overtures from the musical theatre canon, with Jackson, Boykin, Carmello and Bullock delivering solos from Broadway; attendees can also expect to enjoy choral work from the Manhattan Chorale.
Manhattan Concert Productions is an educational performance company dedicated to excellence in music making, hospitality and travel details. Its focus is placed on the selection and preparation of visiting musicians, guest conductors, professional bands and orchestras, and soloists.
