Film & TV News Phillipa Soo Lands Role in CBS Pilot The Code The Hamilton Tony nominee has been cast as a lieutenant and lawyer.

Phillipa Soo, who currently appears in Broadway's The Parisian Woman and earned a Tony nomination for her portrayal of Eliza Hamilton in Hamilton, has been tapped for the CBS pilot The Code, according to Variety.

The courtroom drama concerns the brightest minds of the military who are trained as attorneys, investigators, and Marines. Soo has been cast as Second Lieutenant Harper, a lawyer who longs to tackle bigger cases.

Marc Webb will direct the pilot and serve as an executive producer along with co-writers Craig Sweeny and Craig Turk, as well as Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman.
