Elizabeth Taylor, Academy Award-winning movie star and glamour icon, died March 23 at the age of 79.

Taylor appeared twice on the Broadway stage, both in the early 1980s. She made her Broadway debut in Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Austin Pendleton.

She returned in a 1983 staging of Noel Coward's Private Lives, playing opposite real-life ex-husband Richard Burton.
