A First Look at The Snow Geese Starring Mary-Louise Parker, Danny Burstein and Victoria Clark

Starring Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker, four-time Tony Award nominee Danny Burstein, Tony Award winner Victoria Clark, Evan Jonigkeit and Christopher InnvarThe Snow Geese will officially open Oct. 24 for a run through Dec. 15.

Directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (The Columnist, Times Stands StillRabbit Hole, Proof), the cast will also feature Brian Cross and Jessica Love, both making their Broadway debuts.

The Snow Geese is a Broadway reunion for actress Parker and director Sullivan, who collaborated to Tony Award-winning acclaim on the 2000 Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning production of David Auburn's Proof.

"What I love about her is what I love about all the characters I play — the flaws!" Parker said of her latest character in an interview with Playbill.com. "I love how deluded she is. There's something sweet about that. Of course, I don't know her that well yet. I could change my mind totally once I get in the rehearsal room. But I think one thing will stay intractable — that she's not in touch with reality. She has no desire to be in touch with reality at all, and there's something I kinda admire, oddly, about people who can do that. I'm always trying to stay so organized and have a comprehensive awareness of everything that's happening with everyone around me. And she just has no desire for that. She's much happier to have her head in the clouds. It's more pleasant." Read the full interview with Parker here.

"With World War I raging abroad, newly widowed Elizabeth Gaesling (Parker) gathers her family for their annual shooting party to mark the opening of hunting season in rural, upstate New York," press notes state. "But Elizabeth is forced to confront a new reality as her carefree eldest son (Jonigkeit) comes to terms with his impending deployment overseas and her younger son (Cross) discovers that the father they all revered left them deeply in debt. Together, the family must let go of the life they’ve always known."
