The March 15 Design for Living opening night party brought mother-daughter acting team Rosemary Harris and Jennifer Ehle together again. Tony winner Ehle (The Real Thing) stars as Gilda in Design for Living.
Written by Noel Coward in 1932, Design for Living involves a trio of decadent artists who change partners as they bound through Europe. The burden of Otto and Leo’s competition for Gilda’s attentions forces her to leave and marry an art dealer, only to find Otto and Leo back on her doorstep a few years later. The Roundabout Theatre's revival of Design for Living plays at the American Airlines Theatre through May 13.
