Director Harold Prince led the New Dramatist's salute to Barbara Cook May 14 at the Marriott Marquis. Cook was the recipient of the New York group's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Cook is remembered by fans of classic musical theatre for creating roles in Flahooley, Plain and Fancy, Candide, The Music Man and She Loves Me. Today, she performs in cabarets and concerts around the United States. Her Mostly Sondheim will return to Lincoln Center this summer, then continue on to various U.S. cities.
