News PHOTO CALL: Abraham Lincoln's Big, Gay Dance Party Opens in NYC Abraham Lincoln's Big, Gay Dance Party officially opened Aug. 11 at Theatre Row's Acorn Theatre in Manhattan.

The cast features Arnie Burton (The Temperamentals, 39 Steps), Stephanie Pope Caffey (Chicago, Smokey Joe's Cafe) and Robert Hogan (A Few Good Men, HBO's "The Wire") along with Lisa Birnbaum, Ted Koch, Pippa Pearthree and Ben Roberts. The six-week limited engagement, directed by Chris Smith with choreography by Vince Pesce, began preview July 27.

In Abraham Lincoln's Big, Gay Dance Party, press notes state, "a fourth-grade Christmas pageant in Lincoln's rural Illinois hometown sets off a firestorm of controversy when it calls into question Honest Abe's sexuality. Each of the three acts lets the audience see the story from a different character's viewpoint – and at each performance the audience decides in which order the acts are performed, creating a Rubik's Cube-like theatrical event."
