Friedman theatre, a trio of songstresses from After Midnight - Rosena M. Hill Jackson, Carmen Ruby Floyd, and Bryonha Marie Parham - awaited his arrival across the street in full costume to serenade him with a special rendition of Duke Ellington's "It Don't Mean a Thing".

The ladies were stationed in front of a giant sign reading "3peat", referencing Fierstein's having three shows currently running on Broadway - Casa Valentina, Newsies, and Tony winner Kinky Boots.
