The company of 23 is directed by Malcolm Black. WST is producing Shaffer's latest revision of the London and Broadway hit that was also an Academy Award-winning film. The play, about an imagined rivalry and murder plot involving rival composers Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, won the 1981 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1985 Oscar for Best Picture. Shaffer, who also penned the screen version, revised his play for a 1998 revival run on Broadway.

Mozart's wife Costanza is played by Ellie Mooney, last seen at the Walnut in Forbidden Broadway's Greatest Hits and Beauty and the Beast.
The cast also includes Bev Appleton, Ian D.
