"American Idol" season six winner Jordin Sparks visited "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu backstage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre Feb. 11.

Bleu, known as Chad Danforth in the popular Disney trilogy of "High School Musical," assumed the lead role of narrator Usnavi in In the Heights Jan. 25. He is slated to play through April 25.

Sparks bested all opponents for the sixth season of Fox's "American Idol" competition. She followed up her 2007 self-titled debut album — featuring the singles "Tattoo" and "No Air" — with a 2009 release titled "Battlefield."

Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, who conceived In the Heights and wrote its score, was also on hand to meet with Sparks. His musical won four 2008 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Miranda won the Tony for Best Score, Andy Blankenbuehler won the 2008 Tony for Best Choreography, and Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman won the 2008 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations. The libretto is by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Quiara Alegría Hudes.
