Angelica Page premieres Turning Page, a new solo play about her late mother, American actress Geraldine Page, Off-Broadway beginning Oct. 11 at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre.

Page, who recently appeared in the Broadway revival of The Best Man, wrote and stars in the solo play that shares with audiences the personal and public side of her late mother, who originated roles in Sweet Bird of Youth, The Rainmaker and Agnes of God.

Turning Page will play a limited engagement through Oct. 28 under the direction of Wilson Milam (The Lieutenant of Inishmore).

Here's how it's billed: "Geraldine Page's sparkling career earned her a record-breaking eight Academy Award-nominations and made her one of the most influential American artists of the 20th century, but her personal life was marked by loss and tragedy. Turning Page is the triumphant and heartbreaking true story of one of the most celebrated actresses of all time, written and performed by the person who knew her best: her own daughter. This funny, moving, and deeply compassionate play is a tribute to an icon we lost too soon as well as a richly woven expression from a daughter coming to terms with her own complicated legacy."

Page is also at work on a biography and documentary film about her mother. Her own credits include Anna Christie, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Edge, Side Man and the national tour of August: Osage County. On screen she appeared in "The Sixth Sense," "Talk to Me," "Nobody's Fool" and "Lucky Days."

Turning Page is produced by Barbara Ligeti, The Private Theatre and Sacred Monsters.
