News PHOTO CALL: Artistic Director Bids Fond Adieu to Atlantic Theater Company’s Old Digs – With a Magic Marker In a gloriously unglamorous ceremony, Atlantic Theater Company artistic director Neil Pepe scrawled a final message on the walls of the company’s soon to be demolished school, second stage and office spaces on Jan. 23 before making way for the wrecking ball.

The building, which has housed some of the company’s facilities for the past eight years (and before that was home to Manhattan Theatre Club), will be torn down so that a highrise can be built on the site. Atlantic will move these spaces into the Port Authority Building, which recently received a $4 million renovation, later this week. Photo by Aubrey Reuben
