Christine Baranski, Marcia Gay Harden, Alan Cumming and two original stars of Billy Elliot were among those in attendance at the Oct. 13 first performance of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake at New York City Center.

Swan Lake — which is set to the famed Tchaikovsky score — debuted in London in 1995 and landed on Broadway in 1998, earning Bourne Tony Awards for direction and choreography. Swan Lake was later televised on PBS' "Great Performances" and featured in the film "Billy Elliot."

The acclaimed production — directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne — will officially open for the press Oct. 17 and run through Nov. 7.
