The company of Beautiful donated their time and talent for the performance for an audience that included cast members from current Broadway shows and other areas of the entertainment community. All proceeds go to The Actors Fund.

The cast is headed by Tony nominee Jessie Mueller as Carole King.
Actors Fund Special Performances, according to press notes, are "among the most thrilling theatrical experiences and the hottest tickets in town. Broadway and Off-Broadway companies generously give their time and talent to raise funds to help those in need in the creative community by adding these special shows to their already rigorous schedules, and perform for audiences full of their peers from the entertainment community."

The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
Based on the novel and film by Frank Cottrell Boyce, the new musical will reunite Guettel with Tony-winning Light in the Piazza director Bartlett Sher.
