News PHOTO CALL: Broadway for a New America at Symphony Space Broadway for a New America: Standing Up for Marriage Equality and a Progressive Agenda for Change was presented at Symphony Space in Manhattan April 13.

The 7 PM evening, which benefited the Jewish Alliance for Change, boasted appearances by Richard Belzer, John Bucchino, Malcolm Gets, Billy Stritch, Tovah Feldshuh, Ann Hampton Callaway, Mike Burstyn, Judy Kaye, Linda Lavin, David Green, Phyllis Newman, Seth Rudetsky, Melissa Errico, Nellie McKay, Anne Meara, Robert Klein, Alice Playten, Peter Jöback, the Broadway Tenors, the Broadway Boys, the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and the Accidentals. Speakers for the event included Evan Wolfson, founder and director of Freedom to Marry; Steven Goldstein, chair of Garden State Equality; Ron Zacchi, executive director of Marriage Equality New York; Wayne Besen, founder and executive director of Truth Wins Out; and Rabbis J. Rolando Matalon and Marcelo Bronstein of Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, New York City.

Tony Award winner Jim Dale served as host.
