2001 Tony nominee Brad Oscar asked The Producers' burning question at Broadway on Broadway Sept. 11: "Haben Sie Gehoert Das Deutsche Band?” while Nancy Opel and Hunter Foster of Urinetown urged their cast and the crowd to "Run, Freedom, Run."
Brooke Shields, who starred in Grease! and currently plays Sally Bowles in the Roundabout's revival of Cabaret, hosted the 10th annual Broadway on Broadway concert, staged at 43rd and 44th Streets on Sept. 11. Performances included "Lullaby of Broadway" from 42nd Street, "My White Knight" warbled by The Music Man's Rebecca Luker; "Dancing Queen" from Mamma Mia!, and the comic rouser from Aida, "Strongest Suit."
