Disney Theatrical Productions presented the evening at the Hudson Theatre hosted by Disney executive Thomas Schumacher. Ashley Brown, Sierra Boggess, Josh Strickland and Sean Palmer performed tunes by Menken for the crowd at the midtown stage.
Currently represented on Broadway by The Little Mermaid, Menken has also penned Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast and Disney's "Enchanted," "Home on the Range," "Aladdin" and "Hercules." He recently adapted a musical version of Sister Act (with lyricist Glenn Slater) and is also developing Leap of Faith.
