Based on the true story of two young track athletes who represented Britain in the 1924 Olympic Games, the roles of Eric Liddell, a devout Scottish Christian who runs for the glory of God, and Harold Abrahams, the son of an immigrant Lithuanian Jew who runs to overcome prejudice, will be played Jack Lowden and James McArdle, respectively.
