News PHOTO CALL: Cherry Lane Presents a Slag Heap to New York with Off-Broadway Opening The new play Slag Heap, by Anton Dudley, celebrated its opening night April 13 at Off-Broadway's Cherry Lane Theatre with a host of big name playwrights in the audience.

According to production notes Slag Heap "is the strangely hilarious yet moving chronicle of wounded youth, born from Thatcher's politics and the aftermath of Britain's Industrial Revolution, in a world where the commodification of humanity has become the primary industry." Below, Dudley is seen with playwrights Arthur Kopit, Terrence McNally and Jon Robin Baitz at the show's opening night at the Cherry Lane Theatre on Commerce Street in downtown Manhattan.
