You can call 'em dames. Legendary dancer Chita Rivera and Phyllis Newman were on hand March 18 for the Nothing Like a Dame fundraising event. Newman is founder of the benefit's beneficiary, the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative.

The annual Nothing Like a Dame concert celebrates the contributions of women to theatre and the performing arts with a vaudeville-style night of song, dance and comedy whose purpose is to raise funds for the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. In 2002, performers at Nothing Like a Dame included Bernadette Peters, Audra McDonald, Chita Rivera, Kathleen Turner, Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, Debra Monk, Michele Lee and Jennifer Holliday.
