Charles Randolph-Wright directs Motown, which is brimming with songs made famous by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five. It officially opened on Broadway April 14, 2013.
Motown also features Nicholas Christopher as Smokey Robinson and Jarran Muse as Marvin Gaye. Leon Outlaw, Jr. and Reed L. Shannon portray Berry Gordy's boyhood counterpart and the roles of young stars Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

Oliver has performed in the Broadway productions of The Lion King (Simba), In The Heights (Benny opposite Jordin Sparks) and Wicked (Fiyero). Semmes has been seen on Broadway in Motown the Musical (Florence Ballard) and The Book of Mormon (Nabalungi understudy, swing). Motown The Musical's arrangements and orchestrations are by Grammy and Tony Award nominee Ethan Popp, who also serves as music supervisor with co-orchestrations and additional arrangements by Tony Award nominee Bryan Crook and dance arrangements by Zane Mark.
