News PHOTO CALL: Corbin Bleu Stars as Jesus in Broadway's Godspell Corbin Bleu, the "High School Musical" star who made his Broadway debut as charismatic narrator Usnavi in In the Heights, returned to The Great White Way April 17 in the current revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell.

Bleu steps into the role of Jesus, which was created in this revival by Hunter Parrish. Parrish played his final performance April 15.

Bleu became an international name as "Chad Danforth" in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical," its sequel "High School Musical 2" (the highest-rated Disney Channel Original Movie in history and overall highest-rated program in cable history), and the 2008 feature film "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." Bleu was also seen on the CW's "The Beautiful Life" starring opposite Elle Macpherson, Mischa Barton and Sara Paxton.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli, Godspell stars and Wallace Smith as Judas, and co-stars Uzo Aduba, Nick Blaemire, Celisse Henderson, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Lindsay Mendez, George Salazar and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.
