The evening featured a performance by Jenn Colella, who was recently seen on Broadway in the musical High Fidelity. The gala also included the presentation of two Moon Awards. Rebecca Tourino received a Moon Award for Outstanding Playwriting. Among Tourino's works are The Naked Eye Planets and The Quickening. The second Moon Award was awarded to Drama Desk Awards executive producer Robert Blume for his Outstanding Contributions to Theater.

The gala evening began at 6:30 PM with a patron's dinner, followed at 8 PM by the cocktail reception, entertainment, raffle and auction.
