The Woman in White, the new musical collaboration by the talents from the massively successful The Phantom of the Opera — Lloyd Webber as composer and Crawford as star — has opened in the West End. Based on the Victorian-age thriller by Wilkie Collins, Crawford portrays Count Fosco, donning a fat suit for each performance. Fosco is said to be one of the greatest literary villians to come from the Victorian era.

The production — featuring lyrics by David Zippel and direction by Trevor Nunn — is currently booking tickets in the West End through March 5, 2005, and is playing at the Palace Theatre.
