There's a new music of the night for the vampire Count von Krolock (Phantom of the Opera's Michael Crawford) as he seduces the innocent Sarah (Mandy Gonzalez) in "An Invitation to the Ball."

Dance of the Vampires, a stage adaptation of Polanski's 1967 film horror spoof, "The Fearless Vampire Killers," begins previews at the Minskoff Theatre Oct. 14 for an opening Nov. 21. Tony Award winner Crawford heads the cast as the seductive Count von Krolock with Rene Auberjonois as vampire hunting Professor Abronsius, Max von Essen as the young hero Alfred, Ron Orbach as the innkeeper Chagal, Gonzalez as the heroine Sarah and Asa Somers as von Krolock's gay vampire son Herbert. 2002 Tony winner John Rando directs the musical comedy with songs by rocker Jim Steinman.
