The cast features Candy Buckley (Scandalous, Cabaret, Shockheaded Peter, View of the Dome), Obie Award winner Rob Campbell (Small Tragedy, Translations, The Singing Forest, Him, Mad Forest), Laura Heisler (Kin, Doris to Darlene, People Be Heard, Coram Boy), Haynes Thigpen (Our House, Dead Accounts, Misalliance), Danny Wolohan and Jacqueline Wright (Clyt at Home).

"Aubrey (Ms. Heisler), a very determined romantic, believes she's met her soul-mate in Calvin (Mr. Campbell), a boozing womanizer," press notes state. "But in this tilted, thoughtful comedy, true love is an even more tangled predicament. Peopled by an assortment of eccentrics, mystics and front porch philosophers, this new play from Marlane Meyer is a sweet polemic, an unexpected love story, and a deliciously cockeyed view of the sustaining — and destructive — power of belief."

The production also includes scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Russell Champa and sound design by Darron L West. Production stage manager is Marisa Levy. Playwrights Horizons offers a LIVEforFIVE lottery, which makes $5 tickets available for the first performance of all its productions, as well as the season-long initiative First Row Sundays. Playwrights Horizons is also offering HOTtix, $25 rush tickets, subject to availability, day of performance only, starting one hour before show time to patrons aged 30 and under.
