The stageFARM production of Drug Buddy began performances Wednesday evening, September 27, 2006 for a limited engagement through Saturday evening, October 21, 2006 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street between Barrow & Bedford Streets). Opening night was Saturday evening, Sept. 30. According to its press release, Drug Buddy is about "staying up all-night and waking up transformed into the person you never wanted to become. Wade is recovering from a night of firsts: his first drug experience, his first sexual experience, his first brush with death. It's been an eventful night - if only he could remember it. Wade's best friend Bodie remembers enough to know that they need to get out of Texas. Fast!"

Under the direction of Alex Kilgore, the four member cast features Jesse Hooker as Bodie, Carrie Shaltz as Wendy, Jake M. Smith as Travis and Matt Stadelmann as Wade.
