Christine Ebersole, who vamped her way through 2001's A Connecticut Yankee, and Charles Strouse, whose Golden Boy played the 2002 season, celebrated the 10th anniversary of City Center's Encores! concert series.

Encores! celebrates its tenth season at City Center in 2003 with Richard Rodgers and Samuel Taylor's No Strings, starring Vanessa Williams, The New Moon by Sigmund Romberg and House of Flowers by Harold Arlen. In the past 10 years, the musical concert series has revisited dozens of forgotten and underappreciated gems including Fiorello!; Wonderful Town; The Boys from Syracuse; Promises, Promises; Babes in Arms; On a Clear Day You Can See Forever; The Pajama Game; Bloomer Girl; A Connecticut Yankee; Carnival; Strike Up the Band; St. Louis Woman; and Chicago, which later transferred to Broadway, where it currently resides at the Shubert Theatre.
